Preview images have been released of a new development which is taking shape in Wynyard in County Durham.

Bellway is building 179 sustainable new homes at Oakwood at Wynyard Park, which will be accessed via Musgrave Garden Lane and Attenborough Way, and opened a sales cabin on site last month (July). Two showhomes are due to open later this year.

The computer-generated images include depictions of individual house designs as well as a view of the wider street scene at the development. They show the attractive design of the homes, and the materials and architectural features which have been chosen to complement existing properties in the area, including gable fronts, brick detailing and stone-style windowsills.

Victoria Dry, Sales Manager for Bellway Durham, said: “Oakwood at Wynyard Park has been carefully designed to respect the rural setting of Wynyard Park and the character of homes in neighbouring areas.

“This can be seen in the computer-generated street scene, which shows what the new homes will look like once they are complete. Materials and architectural features mirror those seen locally, helping the development to blend in with its surroundings.

“There’s a variety of 13 different house styles being built at Oakwood at Wynyard Park to meet the needs of a wide range of customers, from two-bedroom bungalows to three, four and five-bedroom houses. The four-bedroom Mercer, Lorimer and Plane house designs in this image are just three of the seven four-bedroom designs available.

“Landscaped green spaces will also form an important feature of the development, with additional tree planting to complement the neighbouring woodland.

“This is set to be a very popular place to live, surrounded by nature yet within easy reach of the A19, the A1, the A689, Darlington railway station, and Newcastle and Teesside Airports.

“We’re already seeing a great deal of interest in the new homes being built here and we’re looking forward to opening the Plane and Sawyer showhomes at the development in the autumn, which will give people a chance to see what the interior of a home here could look like too.”
