Jones Homes Construction Manager Ben Bowen has won a prestigious industry award for his work at developments in Yorkshire.
Ben was named Construction Specialist of the Year for the Yorkshire region in the LABC (Local Authority Building Control) Building Excellence Awards and will now go forward to the national Grand Finals in January.
He is currently responsible for construction at Jones Homes’ Century View development in Golcar, Clayton Manor in Edgerton, Lambcote Meadows in Maltby and London Way at Wentworth View in Thorpe Hesley.
Ben said: “I am so proud to be named Yorkshire’s Construction Specialist of the Year by the LABC. This has been quite a year for me, as I’ve also achieved my NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction qualification, which was a long-standing ambition.
“But I’m most proud of building high-quality homes, where customers are happily living. I think this is best achieved through collaboration and communication and I’ve developed good relationships with my building inspectors as part of this approach.
“I also set myself and my teams the highest standards and I’d like to thank everyone I work with for playing their part in ensuring quality on every home we build.”
A bricklayer by trade, Ben has worked in the construction industry for 20 years. He joined Jones Homes as a Site Manager in 2016 before being promoted to his current role six years ago.
