Brightwells has strengthened its Plant & Machinery team with the appointment of experienced industry professional Damien West, who brings more than 30 years of experience across the plant hire, machinery and construction sectors.
Damien joins Brightwells following his role as Group CEO at HE Group and was previously Operations Director at Charles Wilson Plant Hire. His extensive industry experience, knowledge and network will support the continued growth of Brightwells Plant & Machinery auctions and help ensure the auction platform continues to meet the needs of vendors across the sector.
Having known Brightwells for many years, Damien is a strong advocate of the value that regular reserved auctions can offer machinery owners and operators. The reserved auction format gives vendors greater control over the sale of their equipment, supported by Brightwells competitively capped commission rates and established national and international buyer base.
Brightwells already handles regular consignments from businesses throughout the UK, including national civil engineering companies, plant hire fleets, construction businesses and groundworks contractors. Damien’s appointment will further strengthen these relationships while creating opportunities to work with new vendors, particularly across London and the South East.
