Durkan have announced the appointment of Tim Carpenter as its new Group New Business Director.
With extensive experience and an impressive network across the housing development and construction industry, Tim will play an integral role in identifying new opportunities for the company, supporting its ambitious plans for growth.
With over 25 years’ experience working with public sector clients, Tim will have a particular focus on expanding Durkan’s successful partnerships with local authorities and housing associations. While, to date, the company has focused predominantly on partnership projects in the UK’s capital, Tim will support the business’s expansion across the South East and the northern Home Counties.

We aim to expand on our work with public sector partners to deliver much needed new affordable housing, as well as continue our expansion within London and the South East. Tim’s extensive experience in the sector will undoubtedly help us drive the business forward.”
Tim joins Durkan from Mears Group where, as Managing Director of its New Homes division, he focused on delivering mixed tenure projects with housing associations and local authorities across the UK. During his seven-year tenure, the business grew to a peak of delivering 260 new homes per annum with combined revenues of £65million. Tim previously spent 22 years at Willmott Dixon, latterly as Managing Director of its largest residential business.

Over the year I’ve developed strong relationships within the property sector, particularly with local authorities and housing associations, so this will stand me in good stead to deliver Durkan’s strategic plans for growth.
