For the second consecutive year, the team at Horizon Construction, with its head office in Colchester, have achieved an internationally recognised award for demonstrating high health and safety standards in construction. Organisations receiving a prestigious RoSPA (“The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents”) Award are recognised as being world-leaders in health and safety practice.
Horizon Construction was amongst nearly 2,000 entrants from 46 countries to be assessed for an accolade in the UK’s longest-running H&S industry awards scheme. The accreditation of an Award demonstrates that standards ensure the safety of staff, so they return safely to their families at the end of every working day. Horizon Construction received a RoSPA “Silver” Award.
All organisations which are accredited with an Award are committed to raising standards and setting new safety benchmarks for organisations across the world. The scheme involves a continuous programme of improvements in practices to achieve higher grades and recognition in subsequent years.
Managing Director at Horizon Construction, Phil Holding, said: “We are extremely proud of achieving a RoSPA Award for the second year running. The challenges of the pandemic over the last 16 months allowed us to concentrate on further enhancements to our operations, practices to safeguard our staff and deliver much-needed confidence to our clients through high-quality services. This achievement does not happen without a lot of hard work, enthusiasm and commitment from a group of focused individuals in our team to identify and deliver improvements. I would personally like to thank all those involved.”
Mr Holding continues: “We are delighted to be part of a vibrant awards community, where we will be actively involved in promoting best practice. We also look forward to delivering our commitment to the awards scheme to further raise health and safety standards.”
