Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation awards 64 resident scholarships

Scholarships will support the post-secondary education pursuits of residents living in Balfour Beatty Communities’ military, multifamily and student housing

Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation, a US-based non-profit organization committed to supporting residents’ higher education goals through academic scholarships as well as funding projects that improve the quality of life for military families, has today awarded 64 academic scholarships to residents living in the company’s military, multifamily, and student housing in the US.

Residents and dependents planning on attending accredited educational or technical institutions were eligible to apply for the 2021 programme, with successful candidates scored against a number of criteria points including an essay submission, academic achievements, community involvement and financial need.

Chris Williams, President of the Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation said “Balfour Beatty Communities prides itself in supporting its residents and communities. Following an extremely challenging year, it was more important to us than ever to contribute as much as we could to our scholarship programme.

“Despite not being able to host our usual fundraising events, we were determined to continue the initiative that brought the Foundation to life.”

Since its inception in 2007 and as part of its ongoing commitment to encouraging and promoting the pursuit of education and community leadership, the Foundation has awarded more than 500 scholarships to students of military families living in homes owned and managed by Balfour Beatty Communities, and students at Balfour Beatty Communities, multifamily and student housing properties.
