Moving Intelligence Targets the United Kingdom after Phantom Acquisition

We are Pleased to Announce that Earlier this Week, Phantom Ltd Became Part of the Expanding Moving Intelligence Group.

The acquisition of Phantom by innovative Dutch company, Moving Intelligence, on 12th October 2021 signals significant investment, a more diverse product range and the opportunity for even better value for UK consumers and businesses. The growth acquisition is expected to bring many benefits to the UK market. And as Phantom’s existing management team will remain in place, customers will still receive the same excellent customer service and support they have come to expect from Phantom.

Founded in 2002 by brothers Stephen and Simon Cherry, Phantom was born to provide the UK with a cost-effective and reliable track and trace system for motorhomes, caravans, and cars. Over almost two decades, Phantom has expanded its product range to include state-of-the-art security for any moving object, becoming a well-known and trusted name in vehicle tracking and asset protection across the UK.

A pioneer in vehicle and equipment security, trip logging and fleet management, Moving Intelligence provides market-leading security and management software and services for mobile property. Phantom’s procurement has seen the group grow to 84 employees across three countries and protect almost 100,000 connected moving objects. Moving Intelligence plans to grow to 250,000 connected moving assets across ten countries over the next few years.

Moving Intelligence CEO, Patrick Horst, commented: “We are very pleased to be able to take over Phantom Ltd. The acquisition means that we are making a big step forward in expanding the boundaries of our market. The product range of Phantom Ltd., which distinguishes itself in the leisure vehicle market, is a welcome addition to our Dutch product range. On the other hand, our automotive solutions are particularly suitable for integration into the UK market.”

Moving Intelligence plans to bring their Dutch and German products to the UK market to complement Phantom’s existing product range.

“With combining product ranges, we will create added value for the UK consumers and businesses, which will ultimately lead to an even stronger position on the UK market. Certainly, within the top segment of cars, Moving Intelligence is the preferred Dutch supplier for brands such as BMW, Audi, Mercedes, and Porsche. In addition, in the field of fleet management, there is still a world to be won in the United Kingdom”, Horst says.

Moving Intelligence and Phantom look forward to their collaboration and respective growth. To find out more about how Phantom can help protect your mobile assets, visit: www.phantom.uk.net
