Influenced by the oak and natural tones of Scandinavian wood cabins, this trend is inspired by dusk and mystery, with an earthy neutral colour palette complimented by dark wooden furniture to create a soothing ambience.
Comforting throws and thick-quilted bedspreads created with heavy knitted fabrics such as boucle, waffle and corduroy, alongside scatter cushions with rustic fringing and cosy velvet touch offer natural warmth both practically and aesthetically. When the nights draw in and the temperature drops, window dressings take on a new meaning. Floor to ceiling curtains add a beautiful feature to a room and using a natural material such as linen to line the curtains will amplify the warmth and luxury they provide.

Dream Gallery
The magic and limitless imagination of the winter months can be expressed through a series of reds, pinks and a touch of blue. Maximise this sensuous, dreamy wonderland with fringing and fuzzy furnishing elements to create texture and interest alongside soft velvets for a welcoming environment to snuggle up in.
Scatter cushions meticulously thrown onto the sofa will give the impression of an effortless but coherent interior scheme. A playful selection of elegant floral designs, unique abstract patterns, wonderful geometric prints, and shades of russet, ochre and red/burgundy finish the look.

Ice Haven
Driven by the desire for calming interiors and capturing the magic of the northern skies, this creates anti-stress environments perfect for rest and rejuvenation. Projecting ideals of an Icelandic lodge, Ice Haven incorporates chunky woollen knits, boucle and brushed wool, organic cotton and cashmere to ooze luxury and indulgence. Patterns and prints follow gentle watercolour-effect fabrics, washed-out colour blocking and simplified elements whilst pebbled shapes and organic patterns will be most effective.

Joyful Gathering
Influenced by post-pandemic optimism and a season of magnificent celebration, Joyful Gathering lets the imagination run wild with bold prints, patterns, and colours. The exploration of global ancestry and cultural heritage is used as a central inspiration and displayed through homely woollen knits, charming tapestry and jacquard.
Layered blankets in tartan fabric have a particularly festive feel with its yuletide heritage and fabrics with a gold shimmer add that desired elegant feel. Bright abstract collage, thick brushstrokes and zig zags create curious and enduring elements throughout the space and add depth to the design.

Lead designer at Andrew Henry Interiors, Paul Garland, concludes: “With cold weather looming and energy costs rising, these winter trends are a cost-effective way to enhance any room. Defined by neutral colour palettes, which can be maximised to create a cohesive, interesting space, they’ll create spaces that are bright during the day but warm in the evening. The goal is to initiate a shift towards extra comfort with a cocooning effect and a calm environment.”
