Southern Construction Framework (SCF) Consultancy Service Set for Continued Growth as it Approaches £1-million Mark

SCF Consult

Southern Construction Framework (SCF) has today announced that the value of commissions through its Consult framework for public sector bodies is nearing the £1-million mark.

In what has been described as “a clear sign of growing credibility and trust in our capabilities”, the SCF Consult team is confident that crossing the seven-figure threshold in business activity will signal a milestone for this method of procuring consultancy services.

Alongside the North West Construction Hub, SCF – a leading construction procurement framework delivered by the public sector for the public sector – formed the Integrated Consultancy Framework, to provide public bodies with a procurement framework for consultancy services for construction projects, as SCF Consult.

Offering access to top-tier consultants AECOM, Mace and WSP, SCF Consult has played an instrumental role in helping public bodies deliver a range of developments and consultancy services in the South of England in Exeter, Devon, Gloucestershire and the area covered by Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council.

Emma Bull, SCF Senior Framework Manager, said: “We are delighted that the value of SCF Consult commissions has reached £968,000 in a relatively short space of time which means the £1-million mark is now within touching distance.

“Procuring consultancy services through a framework, rather than appointing directly has a number of benefits for public sector organisations – from access to fully vetted and approved consultants, full support on the procurement process itself and ongoing framework management support through the lifespan of the commission.

“Above all, the framework route brings in a competitive element which helps to ensure value for money through a trusted public sector brand.”

SCF Consult is a fully compliant Government-backed framework enabling public bodies to gain access to professional property asset consultancy services and resources to deliver capital projects, programmes and strategic advice.

Emma added: “Moving towards the £1-million mark is a clear sign of growing credibility and public sector trust in our capabilities and we are determined to build on this momentum to ensure we keep supporting our framework partners.

“From traditional project management consultancy, to cost consultancy, architectural, strategic programme management and sustainability services including carbon monitoring and much more, we offer a comprehensive service underpinned by expertise, experience and transparency.

It’s great to see we’re having such a positive impact and it all bodes well for the future.”
